🇬🇧Everything's ready for a week full of concerts, tastings, activities and much more here at Segura de la Sierra. I arrived two days ago, bringing baritone Njabulo Madlala with me from Madrid. A wonderful trip sharing stories, anecdotes, experiences and both believing that the festival we are joining is so necessary in Spain. We would need many like this! With quality musicians and artists, in a beautiful parade as Segura, the mountains and all the tastings and activities on the nature.

The tourists have conquered Segura de la Sierra already.
​Today we've started rehearsals of Camerata Alma Viva at the Theater of Orcera for their next concert on May 12th.
All musicians and artists are here, some concerts are already sold out and the tourists have arrived at the town.
Let the Festival begin!

🇪🇸 En Segura de la Sierra todo está preparado para una semana llena de conciertos, catas, actividades y más. Yo he llegado hace dos días, trayendo al barítono Njabulo Madlala desde Madrid. Un viaje muy ameno gracias a sus historias y experiencias, y esas coincidencias de pensamiento, y es que España necesita festivales así. Muchos. Pequeños, sí, en entornos que te quitan el habla, con una oferta musical de calidad y actividades gastronómicas que nos pongan en el lugar que merecemos.

En Segura de la Sierra los turistas ya han llenado el pueblo.
Hoy tuvimos a la Camerata Alma Viva ensayando en el Teatro de Orcera mientras el equipo de sonido y luces preparaba todo en la Iglesia de los Jesuitas para el concierto de inauguración.
Los músicos han llegado y las entradas están casi agotadas. ¡Empieza Música en Segura!

🇬🇧 Finally the day arrived and yesterday, May the 11th, Música en Segura Festival offered its opening concert. 
With baritone Njabulo Madlala and pianist Mario Mora, the audience could enjoy a beautiful program, being later accompanied with the “Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen” by Mahler, arranged for chamber orchestra and interpreted by some members of Camerata Alma Viva.

🇪🇸 Tras los preparativos arrancamos con el Festival Música en Segura, aquí en la preciosa Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas.
Abrimos nuestro festival con un delicioso programa protagonizado por el barítono sudafricano Njabulo Madlala y el pianista Mario Mora, para terminar con el adorado ciclo "Canciones del Caminante" de Gustav Mahler en arreglo para ensemble de cámara, acompañados por la Camerata Alma Viva.

🇬🇧At the end, Njabulo made all 200 people in the audience at the Jesuitas Church to accompany him clapping at his last encore. So bright, and smiley, that we couldn't help but get along.

🇪🇸 Desde luego, Njabulo dejó a los 200 asistentes en la Iglesia de los Jesuitas encantados. Con esa sonrisa y su voz, nos contagiaron la alegría, con un bis en el que nos puso a todos a dar palmas.
